An insurance claim is a formal request by a policy holder to an insurance company for coverage or compensation for a covered loss or policy event.
When your vehicle has been deregistered you go to the Central Vehicle Registry office for re-registration.
Accidents happen and maybe it was not your fault. The result of an accident can be injuries or even death. While the owner-driver is covered, passengers are sometimes victims of an unforeseen accident and do not enjoy the benefit of insurance coverage.
To address this concern,we offer Passenger Cover in car insurance to cover passengers of the insured car. Passenger Liability Insurance protects a business if you are held liable by the law for the injury or death of passengers that were transported in your business vehicle.

Goods In Transit insurance (GIT) is designed to protect you and your business against loss, with focus on the transport of various goods which would not be covered under a standard insurance policy. The risks covered on a policy could include:
1. Damage during transit.
2. Damage caused by an accident during transit.
3. Theft whilst in transit.

A duplicate license is the replacement of a Zinara license that is lost, stolen, mutilated or misplaced. You can get a duplicate license from our Gene Insure office, ZIMPOST or at any ZINARA outlets.
When one gets a comprehensive cover, it automatically means the third party is covered.
This refers to loss or damage that results in further ‘indirect’ losses. For example, if a water pipe bursts, the consequential loss would be an unusually high water bill.
Being under insured can have serious consequences for your financial security and well-being. If you do not have enough coverage to protect your assets, income, and liabilities, you may face unexpected expenses. To avoid being under insured, you should:
• Consult with us for an expert assessment of your risks and coverage needs.
• Review your insurance policies regularly and update them as your needs and circumstances change.
• Compare different insurance options and choose the ones that best suit your situation and budget.
• Understand the terms and conditions of your insurance contracts and know what is covered and what is not.
• Increase your coverage limits or add additional policies if you have gaps or insufficient coverage.
• Update your inventory list and list of other assets on a regular basis to ensure that any new items are included and remove items that that you no longer have.

Changes of information could affect your cover and your premium, so you should inform us of them immediately. Some examples are moving to a new residence, changing the regular driver of your insured motor vehicle, convictions for offences relating to dishonesty (against you or someone covered under your policy) and getting tenants to rent your property.
The replacement value of goods is what it would cost you, at the time of a claim, to replace all your belongings with similar brand new ones. If you submit a claim, your insurer will calculate the replacement value you should have insured yourself for. If you insured your belongings for less than that, your insurer will only pay a part of your claim and you will be responsible for the difference.
To have an insurable interest in an item, you would stand to suffer direct, measurable, financial loss if the item were lost, damaged or destroyed. For example, your TV set to the value of $1,000 has been stolen from your home. As the owner of the TV you have suffered a measurable loss of $1,000 because you have a financial (insurable) interest in the TV set.
The principle of indemnity is the basis of most short-term insurance contracts. This principle states that after a loss has occurred, the insured shall as far as possible be placed in exactly the same financial position as he was before the loss occurred, subject to adequacy of sum insured and all policy conditions and requirements being fulfilled.
As your insurer, we indemnify you for any losses covered under your policy (subject to the above conditions). Limit of indemnity is the maximum amount of indemnity provided by a policy. The limit of indemnity is determined by the sum insured and constitutes the insurer's maximum liability in respect of any one event or series of events. The limit of indemnity is the amount upon which the premium is usually calculated.
